Aptus Attends NCRA TechCon 2014
“Connecting Testimony and Technology.” That’s what Aptus Court Reporting is. In order to make those words hold true, Aptus sent myself and Production Coordinator, Vince Liban, to TechCon in Atlanta, GA. TechCon is a technology conference organized by the National Court Reporters Association. For three days (April 11th-13th), Vince and I went through seminars that included new apps, hi definition video for depos, trial presentation, website optimization, real-time streaming, picture-in-picture depositions and new software upgrades. In addition, we had the opportunity to meet with individual vendors to discuss new upgrades and new product features.
One of the best seminars we attended was the “90 apps in 90 minutes.” To describe it in one phrase – MIND BLOWING! As much as I would like to blog about each individual app, I’ll curb my excitement and run through my top five:
TimeLines 3D – An app dedicated to iPads that turns your timeline from a static, linear presentation to an interactive one.
Transcript Pad – Annotate transcripts, review exhibits and export a .CMS file for use in Trial Director.
Trial Pad – Run your presentation from you iPad. Great for small trials and bench trials that don’t have a lot of documents or video.
iJuror – A great app for jury consultants or attorneys.
eDepoze – Go completely paperless in depositions. Electronically present your exhibits using an iPAd or computer.
As technology progresses, Aptus will be there along the way to see the changes and help implement them into your law practice should there be a need. For more information about our services, go to our website www.aptuscr.com. For more updates, subscribe to our social media channels:
